Enhanced Navigation Experience
To improve the usability of Piglet in Bed's website navigation, WIRO recommended and implemented enhancements that made collections more apparent upon immediate entry of the site on desktop. By strategically placing the collections and optimizing the navigation flow, we ensured a seamless and intuitive browsing experience for users. Additionally, we explored potential preview options for mobile devices, enabling users to quickly preview relevant collections before diving deeper into the site.
Technical reBuild of Bundle Builder
We identified limitations of Piglet in Bed's current Bundle Builder, which only allowed specific product categories such as Duvet Covers, Sheets, and Pillowcases. To provide a more flexible and inclusive experience, we embarked on a complete revamp of the Bundle Builder. Leveraging Shopify's newly released MetaObjects, we created a dynamic system that accepts any product, in any order, and with custom categories that do not restrict the types of products that can be included.
With the new approach, we introduced the concept of categories, replacing the fixed headings of Duvet, Sheets, and Pillowcases. Each category can be customised, allowing the assignment of products and colours that align with Piglet in Bed's customiser. This revamp aimed to make the Bundle Builder experience smoother, easier to manage, and sustainable for long-term growth.
